Choices Choices! What to burn on your multi-fuel during these cold winter nights?

TRADITIONAL HOUSE COAL

Smokeless Coalite Briquettes – A sustained high heat output, slow-burning premium smokeless coalite oval, HETAS approved fuel ideal for smoke-controlled areas. This smokeless coal can burn up to 7 hours, great for keeping the home warm for a long period of time.

FIREWOOD:

Kiln-dried logs – It is important to ensure that logs purchased have less than 20% moisture content in them to burn safely and effectively. All of the logs sold by Garden Hub are Kiln dried and therefore have an extremely low moisture content that will allow them to burn at a high temperature safely with an attractive long natural flame and aroma.

We have various types of kiln-dried logs. softwood and hardwood logs both of which burn with attractive flame – hardwood logs, due to its densities typically burn for a longer period and preferred for extending fire times.

Kiln-dried softwood logs, the moisture content in the logs is reduced to less than 20%, enabling the logs you burn to give out 3 times more heat. 

Burning wet or freshly chopped logs is in no way cost-effective and can inevitably lead to problems with your Log Burner, including the chimney to clog with tar making it very likely to stop working.

Also, dried logs produce a lot less smoke. Pine & Kiln-dried hardwood logs, the moisture content in the logs is reduced to less than 20%, enabling the logs you burn to give out 3 times more heat.

FIRELOGS:
